Virginia Infantry, Co. I. "The Stafford Guard"! We are truly honored to
reenact this unit and preserve the history and memories of the Brave
and Gallant Soldiers who fought in the War for Southern
Independence. The 47th Virginia is a reenacting non profit, non political, family oriented unit. Our Unit sets high standards for authenticity and trains to be the best Unit in the Corps. Safety, in camp and on the field, is paramount in our training.We also work hard to be the best at all phases of reenacting. The Battle of Fredericksburg Commemorative Committee is busy planning "Fire on the Rappahannock: the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Fredericksburg" to be held from 7 through 9 December 2012.
